We were tired of writing the same email.
Oh Boiler started in late 2024, in a co-working space in Lisbon's Marvila district, after the third time the founder rewrote the same cover letter in a row. The third draft wasn't worse than the first — it was identical. It was the rewriting that felt wrong.
We're a four-person team — two writers, two engineers — building one tool: a place to store the structure of every letter you've already written well, so the next forty go faster without going generic.
Boilerplate Studio
A four-person product studio in Lisbon, Portugal. We ship slowly, write often, and refuse to A/B-test the welcome email.
Lisbon · founded 2024 · 4 people
Make the writing you do twice worth doing once.
Our mission is small and specific. Most working adults write the same eight things a year, forty times each. That's three-hundred and twenty pieces of work. Maybe ten of them are letters anyone will remember. The other three-hundred and ten deserve to be fast, consistent, and good. Oh Boiler is the tool that makes them so.
We don't believe in writing as a productivity hack. We believe in giving you back the four Tuesdays a year you've been spending rewriting the same opener.
A short list of things we won't do.
- — Never auto-send anything.
- — Never email you "tips and tricks".
- — Never train a model on your templates.
- — Never lock features behind enterprise tiers we wouldn't pay for.
- — Never use the phrase "supercharge your workflow".
Four people. Two writers, two engineers.
Founder · CEO
Luísa Castellan
Former editor at a Portuguese literary magazine. Wrote the original cover letter, twice, that started all of this. Believes the cursor blinks faster than people think.
Co-founder · CTO
Henrik Lund
Ex-engineer at Linear. Believes structure is the difference between a useful tool and a clever one. Maintains the editor and the AI-fill model selection.
Writer · Templates
Adaeze Ofili
Ten years writing B2B and consumer copy. Builds the templates, refines them across hundreds of uses, and rejects most of what we submit to her.
Engineer · Product
Mateo Wolfe
Built the variable engine. Maintains the browser extensions. Refuses to ship a feature until he uses it daily for a week.
Save the structure. Keep the soul.
Five templates, no card, no welcome email with "tips and tricks". Find the three you'll use forever.
